The Prince's Foundation: An Exhibition

As part of London Craft Week, The Prince’s Foundation is hosting a free exhibition at The Garrison Chapel at Chelsea Barracks to celebrate the charity's work to champion and preserve heritage craft skills.

Through the prism of craft, architecture and art, this exhibition will showcase and celebrate The Prince’s Foundation’s history, principles, aims, projects and education programmes, with a particular focus on the work being done by the charity to champion and preserve heritage craft skills.

Amongst other items, visitors will have the opportunity to view works that have been handcrafted by students, staff and alumni of The Prince's Foundation. Visitors can expect to see pieces ranging from textiles to original artworks created with traditional methods from around the globe.

Rosie Alderton, Exhibitions Manager for The Prince’s Foundation at The Garrison Chapel, said: “We are proud that The Prince’s Foundation will be taking part in London Craft Week 2022. This celebration of heritage craft, along with all of our other exhibitions at The Garrison Chapel, is free to enter and therefore accessible to all.

Visitors can learn about our work in teaching, and thus helping to preserve, many crafts from around the world.”

The exhibition will include work by students of The Prince’s Foundation’s Building Arts Programme, School of Traditional Arts, The Modern Artisan (textiles), The Diploma Year (fine and applied art), and The International Network for Trading Building, Architecture and Urbanism (INTBAU).

The free exhibition will be open and accessible to the public between 11am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, until May 27. Please be aware that we are not open on weekends for this exhibition.
