Lauren Banks

Lauren is the Programme Coordinator for the Prince’s Foundation for Building Community’s Building Craft Apprenticeship programme.

Lauren helps to recruit traditional building craftspeople who have a particular interest in the heritage sector. She works with apprentices each year to source placement opportunities with some of the country’s leading master craftspeople and traditional building companies who are able offer Prince’s Foundation apprentices the opportunity to train alongside them and enable them to become the next generation of master craftspeople.

Lauren’s work within the Education team of the Prince’s Foundation also involves organising events and seminars such as 2016’s ‘Ornament in the Age of Mass Production’ in conjunction with the Art Workers Guild. 

Lauren is also the Programme Coordinator for our sister charity, INTBAU. Here Lauren works with INTBAU’S 27 International Chapters to help promote their activities such as conferences and seminars through social media channels as well as assisting with INTBAU’s general and professional membership schemes. Lauren also assists with organising events for INTBAU, such as 2016’s World Congress titled ‘Tomorrow’s Cities: Building the Future’.
