Highgrove Traditional Crafts

Highgrove Traditional Crafts is a collection of training programmes in heritage and craft skills delivered by The Prince’s Foundation on the Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire. It is based in the estate’s Barley Court, a newly-restored 17th-Century Cotswolds farmhouse containing textile studios, and Street Farm, a series of bespoke workshops that cater for furniture-making as well as stonemasonry and related crafts.

About

The focus of the training programmes is to support industry through skills provision and to offer workshops for beginners and community-focused activities. Elements of The Prince’s Foundation’s Future Textiles programme will be delivered at Barley Court, while The Snowdon School of Furniture will find a new home in bespoke workshops at Street Farm, which will host the well-established Snowdon Summer School programme. Students of The Prince’s Foundation’s Building Arts Programme and Building Crafts Programme will utilise the facilities at Highgrove, and the venue will also host collaborative working between the charity and likeminded partners and organisations.
