Public Programme

High-quality workshops and masterclasses delivered by experienced and well-respected tutors that support and celebrate traditional craft skills. We also encourage craft practise through community and outreach projects.

The studios at Highgrove, situated at Barley Court an 18th century farmhouse and converted farm buildings, bring together existing and aspiring designers and makers in textiles and furniture and associated crafts and provides training for all levels and abilities. It is also home to our stone and wood carving workshop, where a range of building arts workshops are delivered. We foster new relationships with supporters of craft and encourage expert practitioners to engage with us to develop workshops and courses that range from just a day to a week or even longer part time courses which are suitable for beginner to intermediate and advanced-level learners.

Provision is inclusive and accessible to all. We aim to create a space that values both people and planet, encourages collaboration and helps all makers to flourish in their artisanal endeavours. Our fee-paying, public and community programmes can be found on Eventbrite.

If you have any general enquiries, please email us at highrove@kings-foundation.org.

Community

Making and sharing workshop-style events enable groups and individuals to work collaboratively and inspire each other on their creative journeys.

Outreach

We extend the reach of our programmes to those who might not otherwise be able to access training opportunities and we are working collaboratively with other organisations in order to achieve these outcomes.
