Education events and open days

At the farm education centre, we host several events across the year.

These are linked in with our school activity such as the Festival of Farming and Countryside Careers in conjunction with RHET attended by over 800 children per year and public open days such as Farm Tour Fridays.

Each July and August we host Farm Tour Fridays day which allows the public a rare glimpse into the teaching curriculum and the philosophy behind the farm as well as an interactive experience.

Pupils who stay in our Residential Centre can spend time at the Farm or, alternatively, a specific bespoke Farm and Rural Skills programme can be designed to include a residential stay.

We run monthly evening classes known as Make it Mondays where members of the public can come and learn a new skill or hobby. There are a number of offerings based in the Valentin Farm around craft led activities.
